everything android : HTC Status "Facebook" smartphone (AT&T;) feature tour

HTC Status "Facebook" smartphone (AT&T;) feature tour
MobileBurn.com - The HTC Status is the American version of the HTC ChaCha that was released to European markets earlier this year. Tagged the "Facebook phone," the Status features a unique hardware button and special software to make it easy to share things and interact with Facebook. Otherwise, it is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone with HTC's Sense UI on top. In our tests, we found the 800MHz processor more than adequate for most duties, and thought the keyboard was top notch. The Status was not without faults though, as the screen is rather small compared to many phones in today's market, and the internal storage is not enough for the average app user (we managed to fill it up with less than two dozen apps and no games). The 5 megapixel camera was acceptable, though, it does not shoot HD video. You can grab the HTC Status from AT&T; now for $50 on a new two-year agreement. More info: www.mobileburn.com

everything android : Samsung Dart (T-Mobile) hardware and software video tour

Samsung Dart (T-Mobile) hardware and software video tour
MobileBurn.com - The Samsung Dart is an entry-level Android handset available from T-Mobile. It has a 3.1-inch display with a disappointing QVGA (240 x 320 pixel) resolution, and a 600MHz processor. Running Android 2.2 Froyo, the Dart features Samsung's TouchWiz interface. The Dart is faster than you might think with its slower processor, but the resolution really lets you down when you try to browse the web. The 3 megapixel camera lacks autofocus and a flash, and only takes QVGA video, which is disappointing as well. In light of its faults, the Dart is as cheap as you can get an Android smartphone, as T-Mobile is offering the phone for free with a new two-year agreement. You can also opt to go a pre-paid route with the Dart, but then you have to plunk down $150 to purchase the phone. More info: www.mobileburn.com

everything android : Samsung Exhibit 4G (T-Mobile) live hands-on

Samsung Exhibit 4G (T-Mobile) live hands-on
MobileBurn.com - We got our first look at the new Samsung Exhibit 4G smartphone from T-Mobile and came away quite impressed. The Exhibit 4G is positioned as a mid-range model, but it features specs that were firmly in the top-end bracket only a year ago. The 3.7-inch display is not bad, and the 1GHz processor pushes around Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread and Samsung's TouchWiz interface with ease. It's especially tempting when you consider that you can get the Exhibit 4G for only $80 after rebate with a new contract at T-Mobile. More info: mobileburn.com
